Many people are naturally shy and identify as "introverted". For this group, it can be hard to express oneself in social environments and finally take a step out of one’s comfort zone. But looking beyond that can help a person grow.

First and foremost, being open, whether when interacting with strangers or people you’re familiar with, is always a great opportunity to learn. The gist is that people you are in contact with in everyday life, share important stories, experiences or learning along with you. Strangers often have more to offer than expected.

However, in interactions with strangers, the reactions from people on the street are not always positive. In fact, they can be unpredictable. But staying in the same spot with the same people can limit yourself and be boring. It’s worth trying to get to know new people.

On the other hand, if you are a really introverted person, you might feel uncomfortable or unsure because you don’t have a connection to a person. This can lead to awkward interactions. Perhaps you would struggle to start or keep the conversation alive. But these are risks worth taking.

In conclusion, take risks. Breaking your comfort zone in social situations can improve many aspects of your life. For example, it’s a good way to find more friends or expand your level of knowledge, philosophy of life and perhaps culture. For some people, it could turn out to be too overwhelming – that’s ok, keep going. You should decide at what pace you step outside of your comfort zone. That’s a certain way to grow.
